Sunset House Description
This dive-friendly resort is located near the southwestern tip of Grand Cayman, one mile south of the capital city of George Town. The resort apparently consists of 57 guestrooms in several two-story buildings set beside an outdoor pool and a rocky beach with a man-made ?sea pool? that leads to the open ocean.
Sunset House Diving Facilities:
The resort is said to be very "Dive Friendly" because it is located near to what is claimed to be spectacular views of an underwater world. The Sunset House claims to offer numerous amenities for complete dive vacations, including five custom dive boats, freshwater rinse tanks, and a full-service dive shop that supplies dive-site maps.
Dive excursions include two-tank dives every morning, afternoon, and evening dives, and all levels of instruction. Popular dives just offshore include Amphitrite, a renowned nine-foot-tall bronze mermaid, and the landmark wreck of The Nicholson.
Sunset House Guestrooms:
Guests and visitors have said this hotel offers 57 guestrooms distributed among several two-story buildings. Courtyard rooms are furnished with tile floors and walk-in patio doors. Balconies, with garden views, are said to be shared among three or four rooms. All Sunset House rooms may have cable TV, air conditioning, phones, and private bathrooms.
