Brac Reef Beach Resort Description:
On a sandy plot of land on the south shore 3km (2 miles) east of the airport, also said to be near some of the best snorkeling in the region, this resort contains motel-style units furnished with carpeting, ceiling fans, air-conditioning, and shower/tub combination bathrooms.
Many say this is a durable resort. Once the location was said to be little more than a maze of sea grapes, a few of whose venerable trunks still rise amid the picnic tables, hammocks, and boardwalks. Guests say there are still lots of nature trails surrounding the resort that are good for bird-watching.
Apparently on the premises there is the rusted remains of a Russian lighthouse tower that was retrieved several years ago from a Cuban-made trawler.
Brac Reef Beach Resort Restaurants:
The Coral Gardens Restaurant claims to offer dining in a casual atmosphere, both indoors in air conditioned comfort or outdoors in an alfresco setting. Meals are buffet style.
The Channel Lounge is a poolside bar that guests say is overlooking the beach.
Brac Reef Beach Resort Activities:
The Main activity on Cayman Brac is Scuba Diving and Snorkeling, these are very popular because of the coral reefs and underwater life which guests who have been diving in the Cayman reefs say is extremely beautiful. Other activities are availabe while staying at the Brac Reef Beach Resort such as sea fishing at hiking.
Brac Reef Beach Resort Travel:
Many visitors who have travelled to the resort say there is a bout which in 30 - 45 minutes will get you to the other islands. This travel service is said to run on limited hours and is available from the Brac Reef Beach Resort.
